Wachusett Mountain

August 30, 2026 · Westminster, MA

UltraTrax is a single-day endurance walk where you choose your distance: 7, 14, 21 or 28 miles. You have 10 hours to finish. It’s built for all levels, welcoming walkers, hikers, and ruckers. Go unweighted or carry 10, 20 or 35 pounds for an extra challenge and swag.

A summit-driven grind up Wachusett Mountain where steady climbs, rocky pitches, and winding forest trails test your legs and reward your effort. Push your pace. Carry your weight. Move with the pack.

The route traverses Wachusett’s ski slopes and wooded single-track, climbing through pine and hardwood forest before breaking onto exposed upper mountain terrain with sweeping views across Central Massachusetts and, on clear days, all the way to Boston’s skyline.

Yes. All distances must be completed within 10 hours to officially finish the challenge and earn your UltraTrax patch and medal (Level 3 and 4 only). This window is designed to push you, but still give walkers of all abilities enough time to complete the course safely.

Yes! We have aid stations located about every 2.5 - 3 miles along the course with water, electrolytes and snacks. Toilets will also be located at regular intervals.

Not at all. UltraTrax is built for all levels of athletic ability. You choose your distance and whether to level up with a weighted vest or ruck.

Yes- check our custom training plans HERE.

Wear clothing you’re comfortable sweating in. Light, breathable layers, moisture-wicking socks, and a hat or sun protection. Choose trail shoes or road shoes you’ve already tested on longer walks. If conditions are wet or muddy, trail shoes with grip are ideal.

UltraTrax is designed as a walking event, but you won’t be disqualified for running! We just ask that you follow approporatie trail etiquette and only pass when it’s safe and there’s plenty of room. If the trail narrows to single-track or feels crowded, we ask that you slow to a walk and stay in line until it opens up again.

Your safety comes first. If you need to stop, UltraTrax volunteers and staff will help guide you back to the base area or to the nearest aid station.

The route will be clearly marked with signage, arrows, bright tape, and volunteers will be stationed at key intersections and aid points.

Because UltraTrax requires significant planning, staffing, and coordination with our resort / course partners, registrations are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, you may defer your registration to a future event date up to two years in the future for a small fee.

We’re here to help. Email us anytime at info@ultratraxgo.com and our team will get back to you quickly.
