Yes. All distances must be completed within 10 hours to officially finish the challenge and earn your UltraTrax patch and medal (Level 3 and 4 only). This window is designed to push you, but still give walkers of all abilities enough time to complete the course safely. Participants must start their final lap by 2:45pm.
Yes. You will need to bring your own vest/ backpack. We will weigh it the morning of the event before you head out on the course. Everything counts toward the total EXCEPT perishable items. We ask that you remove them from your pack prior to weighing in.
Not at all. UltraTrax is built for all levels of athletic ability. You choose your distance and whether to level up with a weighted vest or ruck.
Yes- check our custom training plans HERE.
Wear clothing you’re comfortable sweating in. Light, breathable layers, moisture-wicking socks, and a hat or sun protection. Choose trail shoes or road shoes you’ve already tested on longer walks. If conditions are wet or muddy, trail shoes with grip are ideal.
UltraTrax is a walking and hiking event, NOT a trail race. The courses, aid stations, trail access, and overall event experience are designed for participants who are walking or hiking.
While we will not disqualify you simply for breaking into a run, we strongly discourage sustained running or treating UltraTrax like a race. Runners should not expect other participants to move aside, yield the trail, or accommodate a faster pace.
If you choose to run at any point, you are responsible for slowing down well before approaching other participants. We ask that you do not attempt to pass on narrow or crowded sections of trail. On single-track trails, you must slow to a walk and remain behind the participants ahead of you until there is clearly enough room to pass safely.
Your safety comes first. If you need to stop, UltraTrax volunteers and staff will help guide you back to the base area or to the nearest aid station.
The route will be clearly marked with signage, arrows, bright tape, and volunteers will be stationed at key intersections and aid points.
Because UltraTrax requires significant planning, staffing, and coordination with our resort / course partners, registrations are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your registration to a future event date for a small fee.
We’re here to help. Email us anytime at info@ultratraxgo.com and our team will get back to you quickly.
