You have 10 hours. How far can you go? UltraTrax is a single-day endurance walking challenge where you choose your distance: 7, 14, 21, or 28 miles. Complete it unweighted or take it up a level with a 10, 20, or 35 lb ruck and earn bonus swag along the way. Built for all experience levels, UltraTrax brings together anyone ready to see what they’re capable of.
UltraTrax Ann Arbor invites participants to explore grassy paths, rolling terrain, and gentle mountain elevation amid beautiful Southeast Michigan scenery. The first half of the course winds across the former golf course, now covered in wildflowers and open fields, before heading back toward the lodge and climbing the slopes of Mt. Brighton. Push your pace. Carry your weight. Move with the pack.
One of our more accessible mountain courses, participants can expect a highly approachable introduction to elevation while still getting the full UltraTrax challenge and experience.
UltraTrax is a 10-hour endurance challenge built to meet you where you are, and test what you’re capable of. Choose the distance and level that fits your goals, then see how far you can go.

Start / Finish: 950 ft | Peak: 1,350 ft | Gain: 629 ft

Every UltraTrax course is assigned an UltraTrax Challenge Rating (UCR) to help participants understand the physical demands of the course before trek day.
The UCR is based on an objective analysis of each 7-mile loop, including elevation gain, sustained steepness, major climbs, recovery opportunities, and other unique course characteristics. Every course is rated on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 representing the ultimate UltraTrax challenge.
The UCR reflects the challenge of completing one 7-mile loop. Participants tackling 14, 21, or 28 miles should expect the physical demands to increase substantially with each additional loop.
Whether you're looking for your first ultra walking adventure or your next big accomplishment, the UCR gives you a consistent way to compare every UltraTrax course.
